Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £190 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A variety of secondary schools across Sheffield are looking for adaptable and confident Supply Teachers to provide high-quality classroom cover across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Schools across Sheffield are seeking dependable Supply Teachers who can confidently step into different classrooms and maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment. These schools prioritise consistency, clear expectations and positive behaviour management, ensuring students remain engaged and learning continues effectively during staff absences.

About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain focused and on task throughout the lesson. This role offers variety and flexibility, allowing you to work across different school settings while maintaining high standards of teaching and classroom management.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment

  • Support student engagement and participation in lessons

  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines

  • Report any concerns to relevant staff when necessary

  • Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absence

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience working in secondary school settings

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Confident, flexible and professional approach

  • Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt where required

  • Reliable and consistent availability
