A number of supportive primary and secondary schools in Sheffield S5 are seeking enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join their teams and begin or continue their teaching journey within welcoming and structured school environments.

About the Role:
As an ECT, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons across your allocated year group or subject area. You will be supported in developing your teaching practice while building strong relationships with pupils and contributing to a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for newly qualified teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience across diverse school settings.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum requirements

Support pupil progress through effective teaching and assessment

Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

Apply strong behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

Work collaboratively with mentors, support staff and senior leaders

Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners

Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS

Strong understanding of the national curriculum

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

Ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

Reflective, adaptable and committed to professional development

Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
