Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A number of primary schools in Barnsley are seeking enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 Teachers to support pupils across Years 3 to 6, delivering engaging and well-structured learning experiences.

About the Role:
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that support pupil progress across the upper and lower primary curriculum. You will play a key role in developing pupils’ confidence, independence, and academic skills while maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2

  • Assess, track, and support pupil progress effectively

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils

  • Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policies

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams

  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching within a primary or Key Stage 2 setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Professional, adaptable, and reliable approach

  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
