Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable individuals to join schools in Barnsley as a Cover Supervisor (CS). This role is ideal for those considering a career in teaching or looking to gain hands-on experience in education while making a real difference in the classroom.
Your Role as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and keep students focused on tasks.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students in their learning and encourage engagement.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff to ensure continuity.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience working with young people (school-based or similar settings preferred).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A flexible and proactive attitude with a passion for education.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
