Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join supportive and welcoming schools in the Middlesbrough area. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are looking to gain hands-on experience in education and make a positive impact on students’ academic journeys.
About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support students across various subjects. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, providing targeted support, and helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to enhance learning
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Provide additional support to students with varying learning needs
- Encourage student participation, confidence, and academic development
- Monitor and report on student progress and engagement
- Support with classroom preparation and administrative tasks
Requirements for Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- A degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, or related fields preferred)
- A passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive, and adaptable approach
- Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
