The Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. You will create a nurturing classroom environment where children feel valued, challenged, and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in school events and initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE (or equivalent)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and early learning development
- A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all pupils
