Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A range of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will inspire students through well-planned and engaging lessons, helping them develop strong mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. You will play a key role in supporting academic progress while creating a classroom culture that promotes participation, confidence and achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities

  • Monitor progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Support students in achieving their academic targets

  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills

  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
