Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term

A number of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking adaptable and confident Supply Teachers to provide consistent, high-quality classroom cover across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure pupils remain engaged in their learning. This role offers variety and flexibility, making it ideal for teachers who enjoy working across different settings and adapting quickly to new environments.
Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment

Support pupil engagement and participation throughout lessons

Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines

Report any concerns to relevant staff where necessary

Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absence
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

Experience working in secondary school settings

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Confident, flexible and professional approach

Ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments

Reliable and consistent availability
