Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional learning needs across the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings. Working closely with teaching staff, you will deliver tailored support that helps pupils engage with their learning, build confidence and develop independence at a pace that suits their individual needs.
Responsibilities:

Support pupils with SEN needs on a one-to-one and small group basis

Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and activities

Help create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Encourage engagement, confidence and independence in learning

Support behaviour management strategies where required

Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

Understanding of SEN needs and inclusive education practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
