Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional learning needs across the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, helping pupils to engage with learning, build confidence and develop independence at their own pace.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN needs on a one-to-one and small group basis

  • Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities and resources

  • Help create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment

  • Encourage positive engagement, confidence and independence in learning

  • Support behaviour management strategies where appropriate

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

  • Understanding of SEN needs and inclusive classroom practice

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
