Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes across different subject areas using pre-planned lesson materials provided by teaching staff. You will ensure students remain engaged with their work, manage classroom behaviour and contribute to a calm and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher

Deliver pre-set lesson activities and instructions

Maintain high expectations of behaviour and conduct

Encourage student participation and engagement in learning

Support the smooth running of lessons across a variety of subjects

Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
Requirements:

Experience working with young people is desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence managing groups of students independently

A positive, flexible and professional attitude

Commitment to supporting education and student achievement
