Job Title: Behaviour Support (Secondary)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support professional, you will work closely with students who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour and engagement in school. You will build positive relationships, provide consistent support and help create an environment where students feel valued and motivated to achieve their potential. This role may involve working on a one-to-one basis, supporting small groups and assisting with behaviour strategies across the school. A trauma informed approach is highly valued within this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in managing their behaviour and engagement with learning

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

  • Work alongside teaching staff to implement behaviour support strategies

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

  • Encourage positive social, emotional and behavioural development

  • Monitor progress and communicate effectively with staff regarding student needs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational, care or support setting is desirable

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Ability to manage challenging situations professionally and consistently

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive outcomes
