Salary: £85.44 per day

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a welcoming and inclusive school setting. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment.
- Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage independence and confidence in learners.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting is desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
