Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Poole
Salary: £85.44 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Long Term/Day-to-Day

Are you a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant seeking an opportunity to make a difference in Poole?

GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated SEN TA to join a welcoming and inclusive school setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and fostering a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of SEN TA:

  • Support students with a range of special educational needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Help students develop key life and social skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements for SEN TA:

  • Experience working with SEN students or in a similar educational support role.
  • Understanding of additional needs such as ASD, SEMH, or speech and language challenges.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, flexible, and proactive attitude.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
