GSL Education are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and resilient individuals to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Winchester as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in an inclusive learning environment.
Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Promote independence, confidence, and social development among pupils.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support positive behaviour.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support students with emotional, communication, or physical needs as required.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school, care, or support settings).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
