Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Salary: £85.44 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Southampton area. This rewarding role involves supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant Will Include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies.
What We’re Looking for in an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of different learning needs and behaviours.
- Relevant qualifications (preferred but not essential).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
