Team Teach Trained SEMH Teaching Assistant – Enfield

Are you a Team Teach trained SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in a structured, behaviour-focused setting? This Enfield opportunity is ideal for a confident SEMH Teaching Assistant who is experienced in behaviour management, de-escalation and supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Pay: £95 – £120 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Term Time

The Role – Team Teach Trained SEMH Teaching Assistant

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Using Team Teach strategies to support behaviour and reduce incidents of dysregulation
• Applying de-escalation techniques to help pupils remain engaged in learning
• Supporting pupils who may display challenging, aggressive or disruptive behaviours
• Building positive and trusting relationships with vulnerable young people
• Encouraging emotional regulation, resilience and positive decision-making
• Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external professionals
• Maintaining a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

Who We're Looking For

• Team Teach trained (current or previously certified)
• Experience working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Youth Worker
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Confident supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated behavioural needs
• Calm, resilient and able to remain professional in challenging situations
• Experience within SEMH schools, SEN schools, PRUs or alternative provisions is highly desirable
