Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Maidstone
Salary: £93.30 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Long Term, Full-time
Are you passionate about supporting sedcondary school pupils with Special Educational Needs?
GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and knowledgeable TAs to work full time, 5 days a week, in secondary school's SRP units. Special Resourced Provisions (SRPs) are cumpulsory in every secondary school and are established to support sutudents with SEN.
Responsibilities of a SEN TA:
- Support secondary pupils with SEN, SEMH, IHCPs
- Deliver interventions with small groups of students
- Support pupils 1:1 with their academic work
- Behaviour manage within the school and the SRP unit
- Follow lesson plans and schemes of work providied and led by the teachers
- Support teachers with lessons, behvaiour management and monitioring of pupils
- Encourage student participation and enthusiasm for learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff
Requirements of an MFL Teacher:
- Prior experience supporting secondary aged students
- Prior expereince with Special Educational Needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
