Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Location: North Yorkshire
Salary: £90 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Workers to work in schools across North Yorkshire.
This rewarding opportunity involves supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support within the classroom and school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to encourage positive behaviour, improve student engagement, and support students in reaching their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Worker:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
- Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Assist students in developing communication and social skills
- Support teachers in maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment
- Help students remain engaged with learning activities
- Build strong and positive relationships with students and staff
- Follow safeguarding and behaviour management policies at all times
Requirements of a Behaviour Support Worker:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is advantageous
- Passion for supporting students’ development and wellbeing
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
