Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Salary: £149 Per Day
Are you an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the classroom?
GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated HLTA to work within a specialist school setting near Goole. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs, helping them achieve both academically and personally in a supportive environment.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality learning support, lead small group interventions, and help create a positive and engaging atmosphere for students.

Key Responsibilities as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities.
- Lead small group sessions and provide targeted intervention support.
- Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive engagement.
- Support pupils with additional learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.
- Monitor and provide feedback on student development and wellbeing.
Minimum Requirements as a Higher Level Teaching Assistan:
- HLTA qualification or relevant experience within a similar role.
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs in a school setting.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to supporting students’ educational and personal development.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
