Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome behavioural challenges? GSL Education are looking for a proactive and resilient Behaviour Support professional to join a supportive school in Rotherham.
This rewarding role focuses on guiding students with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with behavioural needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support teachers in behaviour management and classroom engagement.
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and participation in learning.
- Assist during lessons and extracurricular activities.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Role:
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or SEN needs.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A calm, flexible, and patient approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
