Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you will work closely with teachers to support students across KS3 and KS4 lessons. You may provide in-class support, work with small intervention groups, and assist students who require additional help with behaviour, engagement or learning. The role involves supporting pupils across a range of secondary subjects while helping maintain a focused and productive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning

  • Provide targeted support for students with additional learning or behavioural needs

  • Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines in line with school policies

  • Support student engagement, confidence and participation during lessons

  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Confident, proactive and adaptable approach

  • Ability to build positive relationships with teenagers and young people

  • Good understanding of classroom expectations within secondary education

  • Genuine interest in supporting student progress and wellbeing
