Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain focused on pre-set work and maintain a productive learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting behaviour standards and continuity of learning across the school.
Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes in the absence of the teacher

Ensure students complete set work and remain on task

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment

Support student engagement and focus throughout lessons

Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff

Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people is desirable

Strong communication and behaviour management skills

Confident, professional and proactive approach

Ability to manage groups of students effectively

Reliable, organised and adaptable attitude
-
Ability to respond calmly in different classroom situations
