Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work and maintaining a calm and productive learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting continuity of learning across the school day.
Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absence

Ensure students complete set work and remain focused

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment

Provide support to students where appropriate

Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff

Follow school procedures and safeguarding guidelines
Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people is desirable

Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
Confident, professional and proactive approach
-
Ability to engage and manage groups of students effectively
-
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
