Job Title: Secondary Teacher
Location: Durham
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate Secondary Teacher to work across a range of welcoming, inclusive, and well-supported secondary school in Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who are committed to delivering high-quality education and supporting students through their crucial secondary school journey.
As a Secondary Teacher, you will deliver engaging and dynamic lessons within your subject specialism, support students of varying abilities, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment where every learner can thrive academically and personally.
Your Role as a Secondary Teacher Will Include:
- Delivering well-planned, engaging lessons in line with the secondary curriculum.
- Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
- Differentiating lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities, including SEN and EAL learners.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive and actionable feedback.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership teams.
- Upholding high standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3, KS4, and/or KS5).
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
- A flexible, proactive, and student-focused approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
