Job Title: Music Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term

A selection of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking creative and enthusiastic Music Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging curriculum-based music lessons, support students in developing performance and composition skills, and maintain a positive and focused classroom environment. This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about music education and enjoy bringing creativity into the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teach both practical and theoretical elements of the subject

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Encourage student participation in performance and creative tasks

  • Adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs

  • Support student progress and development in music

  • Maintain a safe and structured learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience teaching Music in secondary school settings

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Confident, creative and adaptable approach

  • Ability to engage and inspire students in music

  • Reliable and professional attitude
