Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a motivated and energetic PE Teacher looking to inspire students through sport, fitness, and physical wellbeing?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic secondary school in Sheffield. As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and active lessons that promote teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong passion for physical activity. You will support students in developing fundamental skills across a range of sports while building confidence and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Teach a variety of sports and physical activities, promoting fitness and wellbeing.
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive participation.
  • Assess student performance, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as clubs, teams, and school competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the wider school sports programme.

Requirements for PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and practical experience in a range of sports.
  • Previous experience teaching PE in secondary schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to motivate students of all abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
