Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated Behaviour Support professionals to work across schools in Sheffield, helping students overcome challenges and succeed in their education.

As part of the Behaviour Support team, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, improving engagement, and supporting students to access learning effectively within the school environment.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
  • Support students in managing emotions, behaviour, and social interactions
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
  • Build positive and professional relationships with students
  • Support students to remain engaged in lessons and daily routines
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management and positive intervention strategies
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
