Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
GSL Education are welcoming applications from energetic, motivated, and dedicated Sports Coaches to work within a supportive and inclusive school community in Barnsley. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for sport and physical education, who are eager to inspire young people and promote health, confidence, and teamwork.
Your Role as a Sports Coach:
- Deliver engaging sports sessions across a range of activities and age groups.
- Support teachers in planning and leading physical education lessons.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group coaching to develop students’ skills and confidence.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and active learning environment.
- Assist with extracurricular sports clubs and school events where required.
What You’ll Need as a Sports Coach:
- Experience working with children or young people in a sports, school, or coaching setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and positive approach to engaging learners.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (desirable but not essential).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
