Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Barnsley area. This rewarding role involves working with young children in the early year’s foundation stage, helping to support their learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and engaging environment.
Your Role as an Early Years Practitioner Will Include:
- Delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assisting with daily routines, including play, learning, and care needs.
- Supporting children with varying abilities, including those with additional needs.
What We’re Looking for in an Early Years Practitioner:
- Experience working with young children within an early years or childcare setting.
- A passion for early childhood education and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Childcare or Early Years – preferred but not essential).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
