Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire
Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term, September 2026 – July 2027
Working Hours: Part Time, 3 Mornings Per Week
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum*

GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 3 Science Teacher to join a highly regarded independent educational setting in Pocklington from September 2026 until July 2027.
As a Key Stage 3 Science Teacher, you will work within a supportive and academically ambitious environment, delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3. This part-time role will involve working 3 mornings per week, helping pupils develop scientific understanding, critical thinking, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

Main Responsibilities as a Key Stage 3 Science Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Key Stage 3 Science lessons.
- Plan and prepare lessons that support pupils of varying abilities and learning styles.
- Encourage curiosity, scientific enquiry, and active classroom participation.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and pastoral staff to support pupil development.
Science Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils within a supportive learning environment.
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach to teaching.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
