Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you enthusiastic about working with young people and confident leading a classroom environment? A supportive secondary school in Worksop is seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to help maintain continuity in learning and support students throughout the school day.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee pre-planned lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused, engaged and working productively. You will support classroom management, respond to student needs and help create a calm and structured learning environment across a range of subject areas.
Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across different subjects

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently

Encourage student participation and engagement in learning

Support pupils in completing tasks and following instructions

Maintain a safe, organised and positive classroom environment

Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and behaviour
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

Strong communication and classroom management skills
-
A calm, adaptable and professional approach

Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Confidence working independently and using initiative
-
Genuine interest in education and supporting student development
