Make a Real Difference – Support Learners as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Doncaster!

Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a committed, compassionate, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school setting in Doncaster. Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, helping them access learning.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning and support strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel safe, valued, and supported.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress and development.

What You’ll Need as an SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, SEMH, or similar).
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice (desirable).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
