Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Salary Range: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and proactive Behaviour Support professional to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Rotherham. This rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Use effective strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships as a consistent and supportive role model.
  • Support teachers in managing behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, resilience, and engagement in learning.
  • Assist during lessons, break times, and enrichment activities.

Job Requirements for Behaviour Support:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural or SEN needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people’s development and wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
