Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Newcastle.
This rewarding role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task with their learning and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence
- Deliver pre-set work and ensure students stay focused and engaged
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with their learning where required
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
- Follow school procedures and safeguarding policies at all times
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Key Requirements to be a Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Degree or relevant school-based experience is advantageous
- Passion for education and supporting student achievement
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
