Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Newcastle
Salary Range: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle. GSL Education are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role offers a competitive daily rate of £95 – £115, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across the primary age range.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs to access the curriculum.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
- Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Prepare classroom resources and assist with daily routines.
Job Requirements for Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
- A positive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
