Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Salary: £95 - £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northumberland to recruit a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement tailored learning strategies
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and classroom engagement

Requirements for a Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
