Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A number of primary schools across Barnsley are seeking committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teachers to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences for pupils across Years 3 to 6.

About the Role:
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum, supporting pupils to develop key skills in preparation for secondary education. You will plan engaging learning activities, assess progress, and create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2

  • Support pupils in developing core literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum skills

  • Maintain a positive and well-structured classroom environment

  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners

  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

  • A committed and professional approach to teaching

  • Passion for supporting pupil development and achievement
