Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A number of early years settings and primary schools in Sheffield are seeking dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teachers to support children in Nursery and Reception classes.

About the Schools:
These settings provide warm, inclusive and well-structured early years environments where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration and routine. Staff work closely together to create safe and engaging spaces that support early development, communication skills and social interaction. There is a strong emphasis on building secure relationships, consistency and a positive start to education.

About the Role:
As an Early Years Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children’s early development across the EYFS framework. You will plan and adapt activities that promote communication, physical development, personal and social growth, while ensuring a safe and stimulating classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons and play-based activities

  • Support children’s early development across communication, literacy and numeracy

  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment

  • Observe, assess and track children’s progress in line with EYFS expectations

  • Support behaviour and emotional development in a positive and consistent way

  • Work closely with teaching assistants and wider staff teams

  • Build strong relationships with children, parents and carers

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)

  • Experience working within Early Years or primary settings

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Patient, caring and nurturing approach

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Ability to plan creative and engaging learning activities
