Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A range of secondary schools across Barnsley are seeking adaptable and confident Supply Teachers to provide high-quality classroom cover across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Staff work collaboratively to maintain calm, focused classrooms where students are supported to stay engaged and continue progressing during teacher absences. About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will step into a variety of classrooms to deliver pre-set lessons, manage behaviour effectively and ensure students remain on task. The role offers flexibility and variety, making it ideal for teachers who enjoy working across different school settings while maintaining a positive impact on student learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Maintain a calm, structured and productive learning environment

  • Support student engagement and focus throughout lessons

  • Adapt quickly to different school routines and expectations

  • Report any concerns to relevant staff where necessary

  • Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absence

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience working in secondary school settings

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Confident, adaptable and professional approach

  • Ability to work across different subjects and schools

  • Reliable availability for flexible work
