Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £190 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A variety of secondary schools across Sheffield are currently seeking confident and adaptable Supply Teachers to provide consistent classroom cover across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Schools:
These schools are supportive and well-organised environments that prioritise consistency, clear expectations and positive behaviour support. Staff work collaboratively to ensure students remain engaged in their learning, even during teacher absences, with a strong focus on maintaining structure and continuity across all lessons.

About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will step into different classrooms to deliver pre-set work, maintain behaviour standards, and ensure students stay focused and productive. The role offers variety and flexibility, allowing you to work across multiple school settings while supporting student progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations

  • Maintain a calm, structured and productive learning environment

  • Support student engagement and keep pupils on task throughout lessons

  • Adapt quickly to different school routines and classroom settings

  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding any concerns

  • Ensure learning continues effectively in the absence of the class teacher

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience working within secondary school settings

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom control skills

  • Flexible, reliable and professional approach

  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments

  • Good availability for supply work
