Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their earliest stages of learning and development? A welcoming and nurturing early years setting in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their team.

About the Role:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children aged 2–5 within a structured early years setting, helping to deliver engaging activities that support early development across communication, language, social skills and early numeracy and literacy. You will work alongside staff to create a stimulating environment where children feel secure, supported and ready to learn.
Responsibilities:

Support the planning and delivery of engaging early years activities

Work with individual children and small groups to support development and learning

Encourage communication, social interaction and independence skills

Maintain a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment

Support behaviour and emotional development in line with early years practice

Assist with daily routines, including play-based learning and structured activities

Observe and feedback on children’s progress to support planning
Requirements:
-
Experience working within early years or childcare settings is desirable

Understanding of EYFS framework is beneficial

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patient, caring and nurturing approach

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Genuine passion for supporting early childhood development
