Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from enthusiastic Geography Teachers to work in schools across Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the subject to life and help pupils explore both physical landscapes and human environments.
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of global issues.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across key stages.
- Teach topics such as ecosystems, climate change, population, and urbanisation.
- Develop pupils’ geographical skills, including map reading and data interpretation.
- Encourage discussion and critical thinking around environmental and global issues.
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as Geography Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Enthusiastic and engaging teaching style.
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
