Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from passionate Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sheffield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in achieving their full potential within a positive and engaging learning environment.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide valuable classroom support and encourage positive learning experiences.

Key Duties of Teaching Assistant:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1, small group, or whole-class basis.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Help pupils stay focused, motivated, and confident in their learning.
  • Support pupils with additional needs where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
