Job Title: Care Support Worker
Location: Whitby
Salary: £92 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting supportive and enthusiastic Care Support Workers to work in schools across Whitby.
This rewarding role involves supporting students with additional care, emotional, and learning needs throughout the school day. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching and support staff to help students engage with learning, develop confidence and independence, and feel safe and supported within the school environment.
Care Support Worker Responsibilities:
- Support students with additional care and learning needs during lessons and school activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
- Assist students with daily routines and classroom engagement
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and social development
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with implementing personalised care and support plans
Requirements of a Care Support Worker:
- Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is desirable
- Caring, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Genuine passion for supporting students’ wellbeing and development
- Relevant care, support work, or education experience is beneficial
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
