Job Title: Care Support Worker
Location: Redcar and Cleveland (Willing to travel to Scarborough)
Salary: £92 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated and supportive Care Support Workers to work in schools across Redcar and Cleveland, with willingness to travel to Scarborough.
This rewarding role involves supporting students with additional care, emotional, and learning needs throughout the school day. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching and support staff to help students engage in learning, develop confidence and independence, and feel supported within a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities of a Care Support Worker:
- Support students with additional care and learning needs during lessons and school activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
- Assist students with daily routines and classroom engagement
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and social development
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with implementing personalised care and support plans
Requirements of a Care Support Worker:
- Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is desirable
- Caring, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Willingness to travel to Scarborough when required
- Genuine passion for supporting students’ wellbeing and development
- Relevant care, support work, or education experience is beneficial
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
