As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students across Key Stages 3 and 4 reach their full potential both inside and outside of the classroom. You will be supporting students with a variety of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning needs.
This role would suit someone who is caring, resilient, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact in education. Previous school-based experience is beneficial, however applicants from transferable backgrounds such as care, youth work, coaching, psychology, or support work are also encouraged to apply.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Providing emotional and pastoral support throughout the school day
- Helping implement tailored learning strategies and interventions
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families

- Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
- Be patient, proactive, and adaptable
- Have a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Be confident working collaboratively within a school environment
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
