Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work closely with students who may require additional emotional or behavioural support throughout the school day. You will help pupils regulate emotions, remain engaged in learning, and build confidence within the classroom environment while supporting teaching staff with behaviour and wellbeing strategies.
Responsibilities:

Support students with emotional wellbeing and mental health needs

Work closely with teachers to maintain a calm and positive learning environment

Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

Encourage student engagement, resilience and confidence

Assist with behaviour support and de-escalation strategies

Help monitor student progress and wellbeing

Build positive relationships with students, staff and families
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals is desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Calm, empathetic and patient approach

Ability to build trust and positive relationships
-
Flexible and proactive attitude towards supporting students

Genuine interest in mental health and student wellbeing
