Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Secondary focus
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support secondary-aged students in accessing the curriculum. You will provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, helping learners build confidence, stay engaged, and make progress across a range of subjects.
Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and learning activities

Work with secondary pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

Help students overcome barriers to learning and stay engaged in lessons

Promote positive behaviour and a focused classroom environment

Assist with adapting resources to meet individual learning needs

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary setting

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
A patient, adaptable and proactive approach

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

A genuine commitment to supporting student progress and wellbeing
