Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to enhance learning across the classroom. You will support pupils in understanding tasks, building confidence and staying engaged, while also providing targeted support to individuals and small groups where required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities

  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis to reinforce learning

  • Help maintain a structured and positive classroom environment

  • Encourage participation, focus and independence in learning tasks

  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and learning materials

  • Monitor pupil progress and communicate observations with teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people is beneficial

  • Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive manner

  • A proactive, adaptable and reliable approach to work

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team

  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupil development and learning
